Ally & Eloise

Ally & Eloise operates two bakeshops in Columbia, on Devine Street and Forest Drive, and has been in business for more than a decade. Columbia Living Magazine named it Columbia's Best Bakery in 2025, and readers voted it Best Wedding Cake Baker in the city for three straight years, 2022 through 2024.

Wedding cakes start at $5 a serving for classic flavors such as vanilla, chocolate, and red velvet, or $6 a serving for premium options including Italian cream, lemon blueberry, and strawberries and cream, with fillings ranging from lemon curd to brown butter caramel. Couples can also build a dessert table instead of, or alongside, a cake, choosing from bite-size options like cake pops, cheesecake bites, and mini tarts, with a 50-serving minimum. A handful of gluten-free options are available, including macarons and flourless cake bites, and vegan desserts can be arranged on request.

Tastings are scheduled at the Devine Street shop, where couples can also book a wedding cake consultation online. The bakery is certified as a South Carolina product and also makes groom's cakes and everyday celebration cakes for birthdays and showers.
