What Litchfield Beach & Golf Resort offers a wedding is less a single room than a weekend. The resort spreads across several properties on Pawleys Island — Bridgewater, Seaside Inn, Summerhouse, True Blue, and Pawleys Plantation — with villas and beach homes in oceanfront, ocean-view, fairway, scenic, and community-view configurations, so a guest list can be housed on the property instead of scattered across hotels.

Event space runs from the Francis Marion Dining Hall, which takes large banquets, down to the Coastal Dish Restaurant for smaller dinners, with a full-size theater, a boardroom, and break-out rooms in between. Catering is handled in house through the resort's banquet services, and an on-site event coordinator works the details.

Between the ceremony and the send-off there is plenty to occupy guests: outdoor pools and hot tubs, tennis courts, a health club, miles of uncrowded beach, and the Pool Play Plaza at Summerhouse Suites, a mini water park with a lazy river that earns its keep with families.
