About

Kaminski House Museum

The Kaminski House sits on Front Street in Georgetown, above the harbour, and dates to 1769. It works as a wedding venue on the strength of two things a historic house rarely has together: the building itself, and a lawn with open water behind it.

Ceremonies and receptions use the front lawn, the terrace, the front porch and the harbour walk. A side-terrace layout described by one couple seated around 125 guests. The house interior carries the getting-ready and the portraits, and the staircase and porch are what most of the photography leans on.

Georgetown is the practical argument alongside the setting. The town has accommodation, restaurants and shops within walking distance of Front Street, so a wedding party arriving from out of state can stay, eat and marry inside a few blocks. That is unusual on this stretch of coast, where venues tend to sit alone at the end of a road.

The museum runs public tours at $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $6 for children aged six to seventeen, with under-fives free, which is worth knowing if a couple wants to see the house before enquiring.

Wedding rental rates are not published. They come back through the information request form on the site.
