Ashley Pate Newkirk founded Ash Events in Pawleys Island in 2018 and has since expanded into Charleston while keeping her original market as a base. The company has been named to The Knot's Best of Weddings and is certified through Equally Wed Pro as an LGBTQ-inclusive vendor.

Ash Events sells five tiers. Full planning includes complete visual design and a week-of timeline. Partial planning is described as a 50/50 partnership on vendor recommendations and design. Event management, marketed as month-of coordination, covers setup oversight and day-of timeline management. A guidance and a la carte option gives DIY couples consultation and vendor recommendations without full-service planning. Destination or elopement planning covers weddings with the couple alone or up to 25 guests. The company also runs Pawleys Picnics, a proposal and elopement picnic side business, alongside corporate, charity, and styled-shoot event work.

Ash Events is based in Pawleys Island and works throughout coastal South Carolina, with destination weddings out of state on request. Package pricing is not published on the site; couples request a custom quote after an initial consultation.
