About
Violinists Mike and Lauren Williams founded the company and still run it. The string players are drawn from the Charleston Symphony and a core group that works together regularly, and the company counts more than 2,500 events since 2007 across 150-plus venues.
Planning is broken out by part of the day. Ceremony options include a string quartet or trio, harp, piano with violin, or solo violin. Cocktail hour runs to a jazz trio or quartet, amplified strings, saxophone with piano, a guitar duo or electric violin. Receptions are covered by a full band, a jazz quartet, electric violin, or a DJ working alongside live musicians, and Mike W performs first-dance melodies live on electric violin over a backing track. Speakers, microphones, piano rental, uplighting and staging are offered as add-ons.
This is an entertainment agency rather than a single ensemble, though the people running it perform. The published service area covers Charleston, Kiawah Island, Hilton Head, Myrtle Beach, Bluffton, Beaufort, Greenville, the Upstate, North Carolina, Georgia and Savannah. Reach them at 843-532-8656. Nothing on the site carries a price.
