Sand & Surf Weddings

Richard Martin is an ordained minister in South Carolina with more than 35 years of experience, and he and his wife Teresa have operated Sand & Surf Weddings from Little River for nearly 20 years as a family business. Teresa runs the day-to-day operations and answers the phone, while Richard writes and performs the ceremonies at their chapel on Highway 9 or at beach locations along the Grand Strand.

Three tiered packages set the pricing: an Elopement Ceremony for the couple alone at $249 plus tax, an Ever-After Ceremony for up to ten guests at $649 plus tax that adds photography and a sand ceremony, and a Love Story Ceremony for a full bridal party at $1,249 plus tax that adds a decorated arch and additional photography. Every tier includes personally written or scripted vows and filing of the marriage license after the ceremony, plus a backup plan for bad weather at an added cost.

The company covers the Grand Strand from Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach down through Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island, and travels north into Little River, Longs, Calabash, Sunset Beach, and Ocean Isle Beach. Martin performs traditional ceremonies, elopements, and vow renewals, and couples can book any day of the week for a sunrise, midday, or sunset ceremony.
