Simple Wedding Day

Rev. Benjamin Simmons was born and raised in Georgetown, South Carolina, and earned a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary after a bachelor's degree at what is now Coastal Carolina University. He was ordained in cooperation with Highland Park Baptist Church in Dallas and Nesmith Baptist Church in South Carolina, and has pastored several Horry and Georgetown County Baptist congregations over 34 years. He now leads Gathering Community Church in South Myrtle Beach, whose sanctuary doubles as a backup chapel for his wedding clients.

Simple Wedding Day publishes separate officiant-only pricing apart from its bundled wedding-day packages: $100 covers the vows and signing of the marriage license, and a full scripted or custom ceremony runs $175 to $225. Add-ons include an engraved sand ceremony set, simple photography, and rehearsal attendance. Simmons also offers premarital counseling and performs vow renewals, and the company is insured and licensed across every Horry County municipality.

He covers the full Grand Strand, from North Myrtle Beach and Cherry Grove Beach down through Murrells Inlet, Pawleys Island, and Conway. In case of rain, couples can shift to the Gathering Community Church chapel at no added cost. Simple Wedding Day also sells separate all-inclusive packages that bundle photography and decor with the ceremony, priced from $250 to $1,300; those are listed apart from the officiant-only fees above.
