Charleston Virtuosi

Violist Peter Kiral founded Charleston Virtuosi in 2007, building a roster of classically trained musicians who also perform with regional orchestras. The group's most-booked configuration is the string quartet, typically hired for ceremonies, though the roster extends to string trios, duos, and jazz combinations.

Couples can book a string quartet or trio for the ceremony, a violin-and-guitar or cello-and-piano duo for cocktail hour, or a gypsy jazz trio and a five-piece group with saxophone for later in the reception. The repertoire spans classical standards and more than 300 pop covers, and the group also offers hybrid pairings of live musicians with a DJ for couples who want both.

Charleston Virtuosi is based in Charleston and has performed at Hotel Bennett, Palmetto Bluff, the Cedar Room, Dunlin Resort on the Kiawah River, Lowndes Grove Plantation, and the Historic Rice Mill, with additional bookings in Savannah, Hilton Head, and Myrtle Beach.
