Ciara Lox Beauty

Founder Ciara Wallace, a licensed cosmetologist and master loctician with more than 14 years of experience, opened Ciara Lox Beauty in Columbia in 2021 to specialize in loc maintenance and natural hair rather than run a general salon menu. The Dutch Square Boulevard studio built a specific bridal suite around that specialty, covering loc retwists, loc updos, and bridal consultations for brides and grooms with locs or natural hair.

A 45-minute bridal consultation runs $50 and includes choosing styles for the trial and the wedding day. The wedding trial — a loc retwist plus styling — is $260 and up, and the wedding-day service, a loc retwist and style with room for hair adornments like a veil, is $450 and up. Those prices cover in-salon appointments; onsite services for the wedding day are available by email inquiry rather than published pricing.

The salon does not offer makeup, so its published rates cover hair only rather than a combined bride's-day total. It is based at 832-A Dutch Square Blvd in Columbia and recommends scheduling the wedding trial two to three months ahead of the date.
