Catering by The Deft Chef

Jimmy Hicks, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of Charleston, owns and runs Catering by The Deft Chef out of Aiken. Before opening the business he worked with established Charleston caterers to build his culinary and catering-management skills.

The company lists wedding catering as one of four dedicated service lines, alongside Masters-week, social and corporate catering. Its wedding page notes that packages include dinnerware, linens and full bar service in addition to a custom menu built around dishes like she-crab soup, pimento cheese and baked spaghetti, with every menu designed around the couple's style and budget.
