Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island
The Sonesta Resort sits on Shipyard Drive on the ocean side of Hilton Head Island, and it is one of the few venues on the island that can take a wedding of almost any size without moving it off site.
Five spaces are published with capacities. The Santee Ballroom is 10,000 square feet and holds up to 1,110 guests, divisible into salons. The Savannah Junior Ballroom takes 250 and splits into Savannah A, itself good for 135. The Oceanfront Beach Pavilion holds up to 600 and comes with beach access and an oyster roast deck. The Shipyard Beach Club and Deck takes 160 across climate-controlled indoor space and an ocean-view terrace.
That spread is the argument for it. A couple can hold the ceremony on the sand, the cocktail hour on the deck and the dinner in a ballroom, with guests staying in the same building and no transport to arrange between any of it. The oyster roast deck is a genuinely local option rather than a resort standard.
No rates are published. Catering is in house, and menus and minimums come from the wedding sales office.
