Chateau Amelia

Chateau Amelia occupies a circa-1905 Victorian house at 258 North Main Street in Cross Hill, southeast of Greenville. The building spent years as a bed-and-breakfast under the name Lady Amelia. Two couples from the same family bought it in the summer of 2022, restored it, and reopened it as a wedding estate named for a granddaughter.

Four acres hold three usable buildings and the grounds between them. The mini-mansion contains the wedding suites and the overnight rooms, which sleep sixteen. The barn takes dinner and dancing under chandeliers and has a commercial kitchen, a bar cart, a flex suite and three restrooms. A pavilion covers the gathering space between them, and the ceremony site sits back in the trees rather than on an open lawn. Events run to 100 guests.

The booking model is the part worth reading closely. Couples can rent the estate and bring their own vendors, add professional planning and day-of coordination, or take an all-inclusive package with catering, cake, photography, a DJ and a licensed officiant folded in. Shorter elopement and petite-wedding experiences run Sunday through Thursday at lower guest counts, and a micro-wedding package covers up to 45. Overnight lodging and full-weekend rentals are offered on the estate packages rather than sold as a separate venue, which is the clearest difference between this property and a venue billed by the hour.
