Simply Southern Events is led by planner Danielle, whose background includes event production and food-and-beverage management at Lowcountry venues before she founded the company; the site credits her with 15 years in the event industry and roughly 300 weddings and events planned. The Knot and WeddingWire have given the company Best of Weddings and Couples' Choice honors in 2018, 2020, and 2021, and its own site lists a 2025 Bluffton's Best Event Planner title.

The site publishes three named tiers. Day of Facilitation is the entry tier: a coordinator stays available in the background answering questions during independent planning, then steps in 30 to 60 days out to review the plan and run the wedding weekend - effectively month-of coordination despite the day-of name. Down the Aisle is the partial-planning tier for organized couples who want ongoing guidance, and Above & Beyond adds vendor selection, a printed wedding weekend itinerary, custom signage, and event-design consultation for couples who want more than month-of support but not full planning. A la carte add-ons are available across all three.
