About
Ben and Erin Chrisman opened Chrisman Studios in 2005 and have since photographed more than 1,000 clients in over 30 countries, earning an Emmy for filmmaking and upwards of 250 photography awards along the way. Their work has appeared in People, The New York Times, CNN, Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, and Rangefinder.
The studio calls its approach creative documentary: the day unfolds unscripted while the team watches for honest moments and builds portraits with an experimental edge. Two photographers cover every wedding except elopements, and the six-person roster — Ben, Erin, Mauricio, Ryan, Matt, and Vlad — also offers videography, analog film photography, engagement sessions, albums, and photo booth rentals. Finished galleries arrive in four to twelve weeks depending on the season.
Home base is 2681 Spruill Avenue in North Charleston, a few minutes from downtown, and the calendar mixes Lowcountry weddings with destination work worldwide; for travel dates the studio books its own airfare, hotel, and transportation. Pricing is quoted through a direct inquiry.
