Southern Charm Elopements runs small ceremonies on Hilton Head Island and around Beaufort County, and it is worth knowing how the business is put together before booking. Tracy handles planning, Alexis shoots the photography, and ceremonies are performed by Pastor Jim Wiley, an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. A couple can therefore book the officiant, the planning and the photographer as one arrangement rather than three.

The officiant service is specified in more detail than most. It covers writing the ceremony with the couple and delivering it, completing the marriage licence correctly, returning that licence to the proper court afterwards, and handing over a printed copy of the ceremony, a keepsake certificate, and name-change information. The licence return is the part couples most often discover too late that nobody owns.

Ceremony settings are coastal or Lowcountry: beaches, live oaks in moss, and historic locations in Beaufort. Packages are described as customisable around a couple's budget, and the team gives its wedding-industry experience as more than eight years.
