About

Love in Carolina Wedding Officiants

Bishop David L. Ragsdale, known to clients as Pastor Dave, founded Love in Carolina Wedding Officiants and has served couples in the Midlands for more than 11 years. He is also the founder of Ministry of Equality SC and has provided pastoral and crisis counseling for three decades. Minister Donna Housley officiates part-time for the sign-and-go ceremonies, and Deacon Minister Jeffrey Smoot handles administrative work for the practice.

The team's signature offering is a Sign-and-Go ceremony: couples bring a valid South Carolina marriage license and the officiant handles the vows, ring exchange, and filing. Vow renewals and small elopement-style ceremonies are also available, and the site states plainly that the practice marries same-sex couples.

Based in Irmo and serving Richland, Lexington, Calhoun, Kershaw, Aiken, and Newberry counties, the practice currently advertises a Sign-and-Go elopement at Moore Park in Irmo for $90 with no ceremony, or $115 with vows, a ring exchange, and photos. Other ceremony styles are quoted by phone.
