What It Costs

What Mama's Home Cookin' costs

Mama's Home Cookin' does not publish wedding pricing. Request a quote through their website with your date, venue, and guest count, and ask for the full rate sheet rather than a single starting figure.

Only 3 of the 31 South Carolina live wedding bands in our directory publish a flat starting price, too few for a reliable median; the cost guide below covers the typical range instead.

About

Mama's Home Cookin'

Established in 1974, Mama's Home Cookin' has spent five decades on Carolina reception floors, and it still travels with a three-person road crew alongside its eight musicians. The downloadable song list opens with a beach music section — The Tams, Band of OZ, "Carolina Girls" — before moving into rhythm and blues, disco, and rock, with Embers medleys grouped further down.

The lineup runs guitar, bass, trumpet, saxophone, keyboards, and drums behind male and female lead vocalists, with backing harmonies from the rest of the band. For sit-down dinners, debutante presentations, or the opening stretch of a reception, they swap in an easy-listening set, and they will learn a limited number of special requests, a couple's first dance among them. Sound is sized for hotel ballrooms, country club rooms, and outdoor festivals, and the rig carries up to four light trees plus a back truss. Dress is formal for wedding receptions.

Alongside weddings, the band works cotillions, debutante dances, country club events, conventions, and galas, and it travels throughout the Southeast with dates in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. Inquiries go through a phone line or the site's contact form; the band advertises rates for 2026 but publishes no figures online.
