Ronnie's Bakery

Lourdes "Lou" Bentancor bought Ronnie's Bakery on Hilton Head Island in 2002 after moving to South Carolina from Uruguay and training at the Wilton School in Chicago; the shop has since relocated to Bluffton. Her daughter, Gioella Sarli, joined as co-owner after earning a Pastry Arts degree from Escoffier Culinary School, and the two now run the bakery together alongside Lou's parents.

Couples can book a tasting to sample the bakery's cakes, fillings, and icing flavors before ordering, and a recent review describes a red velvet wedding cake with cream cheese icing made for a small, informal wedding.
